Access Dinghy Sailing Systems, the Access Dinghy Foundation & Sailability win 2002 Prime Minister's Award for Excellence in Community Business Partnerships

jackie, neil and chris receive award from prime ministerOn December 11, the Access Dinghy Foundation, Access Dinghy Sailing Systems & Sailability were recognised for their contribution to the community throughout Australia. These annual awards recognise the positive opportunities of business and community partnerships, and their contribution to building stronger communities through shared commitment, energy and creativity.

Close to 400 people attended the special lunch event, including representatives from the nine national finalists, members of the Prime Minister's Community Business Partnership, Members of Parliament and Senators, award judges and community and business organisations.

The Prime Minister and Minister Vanstone honoured seven community business partnerships for their positive contributions that have helped to generate opportunities, hope and support for thousands of Australians. The winners of these awards have each demonstrated how shared energy, creativity and commitment can build stronger communities.

In his address, the Prime Minister, John Howard, said, "This is the fourth year of the Prime Minister's Awards for Excellence in Community Business Partnerships and the awards are a great opportunity to recognise those who are contributing in a very direct way to what I have called the social coalition."

We were honoured to share this special day with a number of good friends who were present for the ceremony :
